Children need to grow up with an image of themselves that is true. Fake smiles cannot be rendered with taste, at least not the way I do them. A smile must come from the heart but also a thoughtful pose might reflect the surroundings and color choices better. It is magic when a photo works well enough to translate into a painting. Many people have that kind of photo.
