By 2005 I was leaving Texas and heading back to New Orleans. My time alone was coming to an end. I had been living a quiet and contemplative life. I took two trips to New Orleans to prepare for coming back. The city was too active and distracting for my current state. My old friends came to my rescue and helped me acclimate. But after being back for 3 months, Hurricand Katrin devastated my second home. 
In the end we came back and rebuilt the city. For months we worked together and it was hard. That is when I developed a way to paint Mardi Gras. My series on Mardi Gras is on a video that can be found by a link to Youtube on this site.
